Purpose of the Research Project
The purpose of this project is to explore how community colleges and highway construction employers can collaborate to support workforce development and prepare individuals for careers in the highway construction industry. This study is being conducted as part of a doctoral dissertation at Morgan State University.

Are you a professional working in the highway construction industry? Would you be willing to participate in a research study investigating community-college and highway industry partnerships? For participating in one 45-60 minute interview, you will receive a $50.00 electronic gift card as compensation for your time and participation. The gift card will be provided within one week after the completion of the interview. The participant electronic gift card will be purchased and funded by the researcher using personal funds. Are you a community college faculty member, staff member, or administrator who works in a program related to the highway construction industry? Would you be willing to participate in a research study investigating community-college and highway industry partnerships? For participating in two (2) 45–60 minute interviews, you will receive a $100.00 electronic gift card as compensation for your time and participation. The gift card will be provided upon completion of both interviews. The gift card will be provided within one week after the second interview. The participant electronic gift card will be purchased and funded by the researcher using personal funds.
